So I decided the easiest way to keep people updated with our sailing trip is with a blog..
So this is my first ever blog..
One month until we leave to Maui and starting to get excited!
On the 19th April myself, Phil ‘filthy’ Chalko and Al Mcleaod fly into Maui and the journey begins. We have a Van (hopefully) waiting for us at the airport so we can cart our ridiculous amounts of windsurf gear to our house at Sprecks on the North Shore of Maui where we will meet up with professional holiday maker James Toth.
At the moment James is in the US playing in the snow, me and Phil are working flat out and Al is still trying to get onto the PWA.. One month and we will all be sailing Maui so with one month to go my main focus is on making 60kg of windsurf gear fit into a bag and making it weigh 23kg… and getting fit for sailing.
Brendan Boxall from RPS is a personal trainer and has come up with a wind surf specific training program, and at the moment I hate him after this morning’s session! On the positive though I do feel like I have been wave sailing for hours so he must have hit the right muscles (or lack of)! The plan is to turn up to Maui ‘sailing fit’ and ready for long days on the water…
I will try and keep this as up todate as internet connection allows...
Just so everyone back in Aus working doesn't feel left out!
The countdown begins…
